The day began with a gloomy, overcast sky. It was so dark that it felt like dusk even though it was early morning. We had been traveling swiftly and found ourselves in Montana, trying to adjust to the high mosquito population. We settled in a Walmart parking lot, getting ready for the day’s adventures. Before heading out to Glacier National Park, we needed to make some groceries. Grocery shopping complete, we were excited to get our tickets for Glacier National Park, a new requirement that started in 2023. Faustino woke up at 7:50 AM to secure our tickets, making sure we wouldn’t be turned away at the gate.

The ticketing process for Glacier National Park has changed. Tickets go on sale at 8:00 AM, and you need them to enter the park. It was June and about 64 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend wearing jogging pants, a light hoodie, or even shorts and a tank top if you visit. Preparing for varying temperatures will make your visit more comfortable.
